Meeting Room

Thank you for your interest in the Dr. Khurshed A. Ansari Meeting Room in the Sparks Library.

This renovated room has available technology to make the most of your meeting time: ceiling mounted projector with HDMI/Serial/RCA connections to your device; large flat screen 3D smart TV with 3D Blu-ray player, Apple TV and HDMI input capability; and assisted listening devices for the hearing impaired. There are tables to set up conference style, classroom style, or however you choose, and 98 chairs.

BEFORE OR AFTER HOURS AVAILABILITY: The meeting room *may* be available before 10 AM and/or after closing.  If you are interested in arriving before opening or staying after the library closes to the public, please email spstaff@washoecounty.gov.  Please allow three business days for confirmation of availability.

• You must book the room from arrival to the last time slot of the day, in addition to your email requesting after-hours access. Please include in your email the subject line AFTER HOURS AVAILABLITY, and the time you will depart between closing and 10:00 pm.
• You must book the room beginning at 10:00 am and until departure, in addition to your email requesting before-hours access. Please include in your email the subject line BEFORE HOURS AVAILABILITY, and the time you would like to arrive before 10:00 am.

You will receive a separate email regarding your request within three business days.

Zoom ROOM

In addition to our meeting room, a soundproof phone booth is available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. These "Zoom ROOMs" are perfect for virtual meetings, online interviews, and other times when a quiet workspace is needed. Funds for this project have been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.
