SUMMARY:Acting Camp for Teens (ages 12 - 18)
DESCRIPTION:Check out our exciting summer break theater series for teens 
 ages 12 - 18! Each 90-minute session explores a new theatrical topic. Sign 
 up for one or join us for all. Topics are designed to build upon skills 
 learned in the previous session\, but it is not necessary to attend all 
 sessions to participate. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your 
 willingness to be a little silly and try something new!\n\nSession 
 descriptions:\n\nSession 1- Finding Your Voice: Collaboration and 
 Communication Using Theater Games\, Warm-Ups\, and Theatrical 
 ImprovisationIn this session we will use theatre games and ice breakers to 
 work on trust\, projection\, diction\, breathing\, and movement. We will 
 also explore the “rules” of theatrical improvisation or improv\, using 
 games and scenes to develop everyday skills in collaboration\, 
 communication\, and creative problem solving.\n\nSession 2: Finding Your 
 Character: Rehearsing and Performing Open and Short ScenesParticipants will 
 learn the basics to develop a character\, make an entrance\, understand 
 objectives\, and overcome obstacles.We will practice using open scenes and 
 then rehearse and perform short scenes from contemporary works for each 
 other.\n\nSession 3- Finding Your Character Part 2: Improving and 
 Performing Short ScenesIn this final session participants will have their 
 choice to work on scenes from the previous day or start work on a monologue 
 of their choosing to perform for the group! \n\n
