Anatomy of a Song with Steel Betty

What is a song and how do I write a good one? Join Austin, Texas based folk-grass band, Steel Betty, for a fun exploration of popular music while learning about the structures behind great songs. Participants will learn about common creative devices, discover genre-specific songwriting forms and understand how each section of the form can be used to serve the delivery of emotional content in the music. This workshop is appropriate for children ages 9-15 and family members. Free and open to the public.​
