This ranching history of the Carson Valley and the Truckee Meadows spans the initial importation of cattle from Spain through the Comstock boom period.  Presenter Holly Walton-Buchanan is a long-time historic preservationist and the author of four books about Reno’s history; her family has been involved in ranching for more than a century.
