This week's selection is I Walked with a Zombie (1943).  Widely considered the masterpiece of producer Val Lewton and director Jacques Tourneur, the film was given a crude title by RKO Studios but is actually a complex, subtly suggestive psychological story about a young nurse who travels to the West Indies to become involved in a frightening series of events that may or may not be supernatural.
