The Reno Chamber began as the Reno Improvement Society in 1898 and the Reno Commercial Club in 1906. To support local businesses and to promote Northern Nevada as a good place to live, the Chamber promoted the area with unique and innovative  slogans as “Visit Reno on the Way” in 1939 and “Reno, Let’s Tell the World” in 1949.
