SUMMARY:Klezmer Music with the San Francisco Yiddish Combo
DESCRIPTION:Join us in a celebration of community\, music\, and Jewish 
 culture as we welcome the San Francisco Yiddish Combo for an introduction 
 to klezmer music. This event is provided by generous support from the 
 Yiddish Book Center\, to enhance this fall's Yiddish Book Group. \n\nMade 
 up of classically trained musicians who enjoy stretching musical 
 boundaries\, the San Francisco Yiddish Combo is led by cellist Rebecca 
 Roudman. The group is on a journey around the world to present their own 
 unique blend of everything that is klezmer\, mixed with years of experience 
 in the jazz\, blues\, folk\, and even hip-hop worlds.\n\nThe Yiddish Book 
 Center's Public Libraries Program brings Yiddish literature in translation 
 to libraries nationwide\, encouraging connections and sparking 
 cross-cultural dialogue. Join us to read Yiddish books in English\, learn 
 about Yiddish culture\, and discuss the universal experience of being 
 caught between differing identities\, experiences\, and cultures.\n\n
