DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of Stillwater Imaginings\, a 
 vibrant mixed-media exhibition by artist Candace Garlock. In this body of 
 work\, birdlike guardians stand in vivid\, dreamlike landscapes inspired by 
 bird sanctuaries in Nevada. These hybrid figures act as emotional stand-ins 
 for the artist’s friends and family\, their bold lines\, saturated 
 color\, and tactile materials weaving together human\, animal\, and 
 environmental energies. The series invites viewers into a colorful space 
 where imagination and migratory paths overlap\, turning the refuge into a 
 stage for reflecting on care and guardianship of shared 
 habitats.\n\nStillwater Imaginings will be on display from Saturday\, 
 September 5\, through Sunday\, November 8.
