1:30 pm Reading Seed Packets: After you have decided what you want to grow, the next step to creating a successful garden begins with understanding seed packet information and specific terminology, such as annual, perennial, warm season versus cool season plants, germination, direct sow, plant variety and days to maturity. Come to this hands-on class where you will receive a seed packet and learn valuable growing information from Master Gardener Diane Miniel.
2:00 pm Propagating Plants: Planting seeds is not the only way to start new plants. Propagating plants from cuttings is another method. Join Master Gardener Michael Hilker to learn how easy it can be to make new FREE plants from your existing plants.
2:30 pm Starting Seeds: A great way to get a jump start in the vegetable garden is to start your vegetable seeds indoors. Come learn tips on growing vegetables from seed, when to start the seeds and how to transplant them outdoors. Join Master Gardener Beth Heggeness to learn how to start seeds.
