Spark your child’s imagination on the second Sunday of every month with this FREE hour-long workshop, designed for kids ages 6-12. There will be a presentation and a related hands-on activity. This collaborative effort is brought to you by The Generator, City of Sparks, and Washoe County Library System.

Marrissa Poe is a local artist in Reno, NV. Her style is abstract and no two pieces are exactly the same. Poe is a Pomo Native American born in Cali, raised in NV. Her tribe is known for its intricate basket weaving, and weaving came so naturally, she figures it must be the ancestors. Her wire wrapping is my contemporary take and contribution to keep her people’s skills alive. Her project will be teaching simple wire wrapping techniques to create beautiful pieces for kids to take home.
