Nevada Historical Society presents High Noon with Neal Cobb Winter Series: Set Jetting to Bucket List Destinations (including Nevada)

Live on Facebook and Zoom

Nevada Historical Society presents High Noon with Neal Cobb, a wonderful history series that delves into fascinating Nevada topics with local experts. Neal Cobb is a passionate historian and honorary curator for the Nevada Historical Society. He loves all things Nevada. Join Neal Cobb and our monthly speakers as we explore interesting topics and join in the audience conversations.

Join us to discuss how locations affect movies (and television shows).

February Speaker: Robin Holabird, Film Historian.

Author, film expert, and world traveler Robin Holabird writes regularly about films and their locations, with her weekly program airing on Reno’s NPR affiliate KUNR at 88.7 FM every Friday. She also provides film commentary for Rotten Tomatoes. Holabird’s first book, Elvis, Marilyn and the Space Aliens, (University of Nevada Press) explores how movies and television programs affect Nevada’s public image. Her second book Around the World in 80 Movies (Ice Cube Press), shows the link between films and travel destinations.

All of our virtual events are shared on Facebook, and are archived on the Library website, and YouTube
