Join Neal Cobb and our monthly speakers as we explore interesting topics and join in the audience conversations.

Our wise and venerated patron, St. Vitus devoted 35 years of study and contemplation seeking the fundamental truths of our mystic Order. He formed a design of writing 83 volumes pertaining to the subject, but even the most learned scholars agree, he never got past these first three words. Credo Quia Absurdium. Translated, I Believe Because it is Absurd, or Faith Rest on Absurdity

I can only reveal the most obvious truths in the world of E. Clampus Vitus. Because of this, I will try and shorten St Vitus’ 83 volume proposed dissertation to just one hour.Included is the history of one particularly proud Chapter of ECV, Julia C. Bulette #1864 of Virginia City.

November Speaker: Tim Pearce, Clamper Historian

Tim Pearce came to Reno in 1964 from the Midwest with his parents and grew up in a small suburb by the airport. As an adult working in the construction industry, he met numerous individuals that belonged to ECV, E. Clampus Vitus. Tim finally took the big step some 23 years ago and joined the brotherhood.

With a passion for history and a deep appreciation for the hard-working man when things weren’t so easy, it was a perfect match. Tim spent a lot of time heading up projects improving the Clamper Building. Many friendships were made during this time.

Stories were told, history was spoken as we best understand it, and all is true because Clampers never lie to each other. This insight of Clamperdom bestowed upon Tim has brought him to the point of wanting to share the mystic origins and the legends of the Brotherhood of E. Clampus Vitus.
