Gone With the Wind-a-Thon

Gone With the Wind-a-Thon

Gone With the Wind won 8 Oscars in 1939, is the highest-grossing film of all time when adjusted for inflation, and is one of the most well-known classic films. Based on the best-selling novel by Margaret Mitchell, the story follows southern belle Scarlett O’Hara and her Georgia plantation, Tara, as they weather the decline of the South, the Civil War, Reconstruction, and her tumultuous love affairs with Ashley Wilkes and Rhett Butler.

We will screen all 4 hours of the film, with an intermission and discussion about all things GWTW. Bring a pillow and blanket and come see the movie the way it was meant to be seen—on a large screen, and with an audience!
