Discover Music is an educational outreach program where Reno Phil musicians travel to locations around Washoe County to perform mini-concerts tailored to give children a close-up look at symphonic music through performances and demos. With 6 small ensembles ranging from 2-6 players, children can experience the magic of live music and learn different instrument types and sounds up close.

Our Discover Music ensembles are experienced performing professionals. Each school year, they visit over 20 schools to present these mini-concerts to elementary students. Adding libraries to their visit list would allow us to reach ages and audiences we don't reach at traditional public elementary schools as well as allow parents to attend with their children.
