Spark your child’s imagination on the second Sunday of every month with this FREE hour-long workshop, designed for kids ages 6-12. There will be a presentation and a related hands-on activity. This collaborative effort is brought to you by The Generator, City of Sparks, and Washoe County Library System.  

Naomi "Di Vine" De Vore is a mixed media artist based in Reno, NV. In addition to working professionally as a glass etching artist, Naomi is a collaborator, community art curator, painter, and painting instructor as well as an actor with Dark Corner Haunted House. In her workshop, children will participate in the process of using minerals to make paints. A plant-based medium will be used to bind the pigments. Students will watch a demonstration of this process, then use pre-mixed paints to create their own work of art to keep.
