Master Gardener Series

·  1:30 pm Session:  Native Bees and How to Host Them: Native bees are the unsung heroes of pollination, as they are more efficient pollinators and start earlier in the season than honeybees. Nevada has more than 1,000 species of native bees. Learn how to make them welcome in your garden and yard with Chris Doolittle, Master Gardener.

·  2:00 pm Session:  What Colors Attract Specific Pollinators: Come learn about pollinators, the biology of their sight, the adaptations of plants to attract pollinators and the colors that attract specific pollinators. Master Gardeners Deb Barone and Kathi Linehan will provide valuable information on this interesting topic.

·  2:30 pm Session:  Gardening with Herbs: Many herbs can be grown in our area in containers, garden beds and as landscape plants. Come learn about the herbs that grow best in our climate and tips to keep them happy and productive. Join Leslie Edgington, Master Gardener, to learn about these herbs.
