Spark your child’s imagination on the second Sunday of every month with this FREE hour-long workshop, designed for kids ages 6-12. There will be a presentation and a related hands-on activity. This collaborative effort is brought to you by The Generator, City of Sparks, and Washoe County Library System.

Paws 2 Read.  Reading program for children of all ages proudly presented by Paws 4 Love.  Friendly dogs lend a loving, non-judgmental ear to beginning readers.  After reading to a gentle dog, children receive a free book.

Step back in time and experience a delightful, vintage-inspired holiday celebration with the Retro Radio Dolls! This program combines the charm of classic Christmas songs, lively dance numbers, comedy, and fascinating fun facts to create an engaging and nostalgic experience for all participants.

Since their inception in 2015, the harmonious trio Natalie Jones (timeless elegance), Alex Burley (vibrant energy), and Kay Davis (vintage flair) have captivated listeners with their unique blend of nostalgia and modern flair, breathing new life into beloved classics. From enchanting renditions of the National Anthem to toe-tapping covers of timeless hits, the Retro Radio Dolls are a fixture at events across Northern Nevada and California, from vintage festivals to corporate galas. With their signature style, undeniable talent, and unwavering passion for the classics, the Retro Radio Dolls are keeping the spirit of retro alive and well in the 21st century.

All skill levels and yarn crafts are welcome. Bring your project to our “sit and knit.” Volunteers Jackie and Peggy will help you get started.
